Sussex/Lake Country Location Instructor

Mr. Jin Lee

Mr. Lee, Grand Master Lee’s nephew, worked for 10 years as a DNA engineer before deciding to make Tae Kwon Do his career. He’s presently a fourth degree black belt, had been a student at J.K. Lee since 1980 and began teaching in January of 2002. Mr. Lee opened the Pewaukee location in 2005. He moved school in 2019 to Sussex/Lake Country.

He assists at all the major events, including the two annual tournaments, the Board Break-a-thon for Wisconsin Children’s Hospital and testings. He is also studying Brazilian Jui Jitsu. Mr. Lee’s wife and two children are also J.K. Lee students.

Ms. Alexandrea Lee

Ms. Alex, Daughter to Instructor Jin Lee and Great Niece to Grand Master Lee, was introduced to Tae Kwon Do when she was three years old; when she was five years old she began to train as a martial artist. She proudly earned her Black Belt in September of 2009.

Ms. Alex has happily been training with her family since she started, and continues to train with her Brother, Mr. Matthew. She has attended the Hanmadang National Championships and is a seven time gold medalist in individual and team events involving traditional and creative forms. She has won
three Grand Champion trophies from the forms and women’s sparring divisions in the J.K. Lee Great Midwest Tournament of Champions. She has been an active student and leader in classes, co-leading the demo team and co – leading and coaching the J.K. Lee Marquette University Tae Kwon Do Club with Mr. Matthew and leading classes at Sussex/Lake Country as well. Ms. Alex is currently a third degree black belt and she is working at JK Lee both on the floor and behind the front desk. Make sure you say Hi!

In 2019, Ms. Alex plans to graduate from Carroll University with a degree in Management and Leadership and a minor in Criminal Justice. Ms. Lee’s hopes are to stay in Tea Kwon Do for the rest of her life no matter what.

Mr. Matthew Lee

Mr. Matthew Lee, Son to Instructor Jin Lee and Great Nephew to Grand Master Lee, started Tae Kwon Do when he was five years old.

He is happy to say that his whole family has trained with him since he started. Mr. Matthew grew up in his new found home JK Lee Pewaukee when Instructor Jin Lee opened in 2005. He has proudly been a Black Belt since the age of eleven and has been an employee since fourteen years old. He has won three Grand Champion trophies in the Men’s Breaking competition from the J.K. Lee Great Midwest Tournament of Champions and is a four time gold medalist at the Hamadang National Competition medalist in individual and team events involving traditional and creative forms. Mr. Matthew is an active student and leader taking classes, co-leading the demo team with Ms. Alex, co-coaching and leading the J.K. Lee Marquette University Tae Kwon Do Club, as well as leading classes at Sussex/Lake Country too.

Mr. Matthew is currently a third degree and he is currently enrolled at Marquette University studying for a Marketing Business Degree in hopes to run a school of his own.
