Sussex/Lake Country Location Instructor

Mr. Jin Lee

Mr. Lee, Grand Master Lee’s nephew, worked for 10 years as a DNA engineer before deciding to make Tae Kwon Do his career. He’s presently a fourth degree black belt, had been a student at J.K. Lee since 1980 and began teaching in January of 2002. Mr. Lee opened the Pewaukee location in 2005. He moved the school in 2019 to Sussex/Lake Country.

He assists at all the major events, including the two annual tournaments, the Board Break-a-thon for Wisconsin Children’s Hospital and testings. He also studied Brazilian Jui Jitsu. Mr. Lee’s wife and two children are also J.K. Lee instructors.

Ms. Alexandrea Lee

Ms. Alex, Daughter to Instructor Jin Lee and Great Niece to Grand Master Lee, began to train as a Martial Artist in Taekwondo when she was five years old with her parents. Mr. Matthew, her younger Brother, was still too young. 

Currently a Fourth Degree Black Belt, Miss. Alex teaches at JK Lee Lake Country continues to train with her Father, Instructor Jin Lee and Brother Instructor Matthew Lee. 

Miss Alex has competed at the State and National level. She has earned three Grand Champion Titles from the Forms (2) and Women’s Sparring (1) divisions in the J.K. Lee Great Midwest Tournament of Champions. Miss Alex is also a Seven time Gold Medalist in Individual and Team Events involving Traditional Form and Creative Forms. She has been an active Student and Leader in and outside the dojang, co-leading the demo team and teaching classes at JK Lee Lake Country as well. 

In 2020, Ms. Alex graduated from Carroll University with a degree in Management and Leadership and a minor in Criminal Justice. Currently she is working in Mortgage at Fairway Independent Mortgage and Coaching Volleyball at Hamilton High School and Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Center. She cannot wait to have her own family start in Taekwondo in the future. 

Mr. Matthew Lee

Mr. Matthew Lee, Son to Instructor Jin Lee and Great Nephew to Grand Master Lee, started Tae Kwon Do when he was five years old and trained with his whole family.

Currently a fourth degree black belt, Mr. Matthew is an instructor at the JK Lee Lake Country location where he continues to train with his father Instructor Jin Lee, and his sister Instructor Alex Lee. 

Mr. Matthew has competed in both the State and National level. He is a three time Grand Champion winner in the Men’s Breaking competition, a four time Gold medalist at the Hanmadang National Competition, and a Gold medalist in a Collegiate level Tournament at Purdue University. Mr. Matthew is involved with the NCTC (National Collegiate Taekwondo Committee) for future J.K. Lee Marquette TKD Involvement in Collegiate Competition. He also volunteers his time as a lead instructor for the JK Lee Demo Team and a Coach and as a Leader at the J.K. Lee Marquette University Tae Kwon Do Club.

Mr. Matthew recently graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Business Administration Majoring in Marketing in hopes to run a school of his own.
